Upgrade materials are vital objects in Disney Speedstorm that are required to level up and upgrade Racers. First levels require Generic materials and/or Class specific materials but with the character progression more and more Collection materials are necessary. The materials cannot be interchanged, sold, refunded, replaced, and so on. Only when all necessary materials are collected, the Racer can be upgraded. Generic materials are applicable to all Racers while Class specific materials can only be used with certain Classes, and Collection materials are unique for each Collection (cartoon/movie). New materials are added each season due to a new Collection being introduced into the game every 6-8 weeks.

- Shop;
- Game mode rewards: Events, Ranked Multiplayer, Season Tour, Starter Circuit;
- Golden Pass;
- Mystery Boxes;
