Philippe is a Crew Member in Disney Speedstorm. It is a Rare Crew Member which means it amplifies three Racer statistics (Acceleration, Handling, Boost) and enhances one skill (Boost). Philippe is part of the Beauty and the Beast Collection.

Origin

Philippe is a supporting character in Disney's 1991 animated feature film, "Beauty and the Beast". He is a large horse that belongs to Belle and her father Maurice.

Philippe first appears in the film when he accompanies Maurice to a fair to showcase his invention and earn some money. While en route, they get lost in the woods, encountering a crossroads. Philippe prefers the left path, because it looks nice and bright, while Maurice chooses the right one, ominous and covered with fog, a cursed route set by the Enchantress. In their disagreement, wolves' distant howls scare Philippe, prompting a collision with a tree that rouses a swarm of bats. Frightened, Philippe runs to the cliff's edge. Maurice tries to calm him down, but the scared horse unintentionally throws Maurice off and escapes. Philippe eventually reaches home and encounters Belle, who inquires about her father's whereabouts and makes him guide her to him. Guiding Belle to the Beast's castle gates, Philippe displays trepidation at the sight but is comforted by Belle as she enters the castle to locate her father.

Later on, in an attempt to flee the castle, Belle runs into the forest with Philippe and gets chased by a pack of wolves. When thet try to fight the wolves off, Philippe's reins get entangled in tree branches. The wolves attack him, but Philippe defeats one as Belle intervenes. The Beast appears to save them and protects Philippe and Belle from the wolves. Throughout the incident, Philippe, despite his intimidating look, shows care for the injured Beast. He carries him back to the castle.

When the Beast frees Belle from the castle, they track down her father and return home. Philippe stays a faithful friend as the people choose to confront the Beast. After Belle and Maurice escape with Chip's help, they ride Philippe to the castle and smash through the main door. Philippe is said to have remained at the castle with Belle and Maurice when the curse was broken.
