Chip is a Crew Member in Disney Speedstorm. It is a Common Crew Member which means it amplifies two Racer statistics (Combat, Boost) and enhances one skill (Cloak). Chip is part of the Beauty and the Beast Collection.

Origin

Chip is a supporting character in Disney's 1991 animated feature film, Beauty and the Beast. He is a son of Mrs. Potts, a seven-year-old boy transformed into a teacup after the Enchantress put a spell on the Beast's castle and turned all its inhabitants into furniture, and the prince himself into the Beast. By the end of the movie Chip, his mom and everyone else are transformed back into humans.

Chip is an adorable and curious little teacup. He is one of the many enchanted objects in the Beast's castle and is the son of Mrs. Potts, the castle's head housekeeper. Despite being small and fragile, Chip is a very outgoing, friendly and sweet-natured child who enjoys making people laugh, especially Belle after she starts living in the castle.

When he first appears on the screen, he is filled with tea for Maurice. Maurice tickles Chip with his mustache in a sweet moment that makes Chip chuckle. But when the Beast confronts Maurice, Chip hides behind Mrs. Potts.

Later, when Belle shows up looking for her father, Chip alerts his mom about the girl's presence. Initially questioned, his words are confirmed when Fifi claims to have seen the girl, too. After that, Chip, accompanied by Mrs. Potts, offers Belle some tea. He shows a trick by blowing bubbles, but gets scolded by Mrs. Potts.

The little teacup is one of those who first notice Belle and Beast's growing connection, when he sees Belle tending Beast's wounds. From the dialogue between Chip and Mrs. Potts, it is noticeable that he is way too young to understand what love is and how it works.

At the movie's turning point, Chip joins Belle on her journey to save Maurice, hiding in her suitcase. When he comes out, he asks why she left, but Gaston interrupts their conversation. Chip's resourcefulness helps them escape from captivity and leads them back to the castle.
