Origin

The Captain is a support character in Disney's 1961 animated film "101 Dalmatians". He is a gray horse who wears a red British military horse blanket.

The Captain makes his first appearance at the barn when he hears the bark of old Towser, realizing it signifies an alert. The noise awakens Sergeant Tibbs the cat, who is instructed by the Captain to notify the Colonel of the alert. Upon Tibbs and the Colonel's return, the Captain explains that the alert comes from Towser at Withermarsh.

After learning about kidnapped puppies, the Captain draws attention to smoke coming from the Hell Hall chimney, which piques the curiosity of both the Colonel and Tibbs, so they decide to investigate.

Following a confrontation where Pongo and Perdita, the puppies' parents, fend off Cruella's henchmen, Jasper and Horace, and rescue not only their 15 stolen puppies but also 84 more from a pet shop, the group reconvenes at the barn. Pongo and Perdita express their gratitude to the Captain, the Colonel, and Tibbs for their assistance.

As the Baduns’ truck approaches, the Captain, the Colonel, and Tibbs prepare to fend off Jasper and Horace. The Captain, with Tibbs’ aid, manages to strike the villains with his back left hoof, sending them crashing into a wall. After this scene, the Captain does not reappear or get mentioned for the remainder of the film.

Origin

Sergeant Tibbs is a support character in Disney's 1961 animated film "101 Dalmatians". He is a tabby cat and loyal sidekick to the Colonel who plays a vital role in rescuing Pongo and Perdita’s fifteen stolen puppies along with eighty-four other puppies.

One night, Tibbs is awakened by the Captain with news from London about the missing puppies. Recalling that he heard barking from Hell Hall, Tibbs and the Colonel investigate and find the puppies — fifteen stolen by Cruella De Vil and eighty-four from pet stores. Jasper and Horace, Cruella's henchmen, discover Tibbs and attack him, but he manages to escape and alerts the Colonel. The Colonel sends a message back to London, but their efforts to reach Pongo and Perdita, the puppies' parents, are interrupted when a car arrives at Hell Hall. Tibbs discovers Cruella’s plan to make fur coats from the puppies and successfully hides them, but Jasper and Horace find out and chase them.

Pongo and Perdita arrive to fight off the henchmen, allowing Tibbs and the puppies to escape to the barn. There, the Colonel and Tibbs witness the happy reunion, but the Baduns' reappearance leads to a renewed chase as they find the Dalmatians' paw prints.
