Origin

Megabot is a minor character in Disney's 2014 animated film, "Big Hero 6". It is a small robot created by Hiro Hamada. Megabot can disassemble and attack opponents, and his face changes from a smiley one to an angry one when it enters the attack mode.

In the original movie, Hiro first uses the Megabot in a match against Mr. Yama, which brings him victory. He first plans to keep competing in bot fights with his creation but eventually gives up on the idea. Later, elements of Megabot's structure and design are reflected in Hiro's new creation - the Microbots.

After Tadashi's death, Hiro gradually returns to the underground bot fighting. While getting ready for a match, one of Megabot's legs accidentally drops on Hiro's foot, triggering Baymax's activation. Hiro tries to repair the leg, but Baymax wanders off, so Hiro runs after him, leaving the bot behind. Megabot does not make any further appearances later in the movie.

In "Big Hero 6: The Series", once Hiro decides to leave the bot-fighting competitions, Megabot gets put into storage. In the episode "The Bot Fighter", Hiro takes Megabot out of the drawer and brings him to a new competition organized by Yama. There, Megabot fights "Little Yama" once more, with Hiro claiming victory again. Later in the series, Trina hijacks Megabot's programming to integrate it into her massive destructive bot. However, Hiro manages to regain control of Megabot and uses it to take down Trina's creation.
