Grumpy is a Crew Member in Disney Speedstorm. It is a Rare Crew Member which means it amplifies three Racer statistics (Handling, Combat, Boost) and enhances one skill (Shield). Grumpy is part of Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs Collection.

Origin

Grumpy is one of the support characters in Disney's 1937 animated feature film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". He is one of the dwarfs whom Snow White meets in their cottage. His name comes from him constantly being annoyed and discontented, which is highlighted by a scowl on his face.

Grumpy works alongside his fellow dwarfs in the mine, helping dig for diamonds. While Doc sorts the valuable ones, Dopey sweeps away the worthless ones. When the workday ends, Doc sounds the alarm, and the dwarfs head home singing "Heigh-Ho", with Grumpy walking behind Doc.

Upon arriving at their cottage, they are alarmed to see lights on, fearing an intruder. As they investigate, Grumpy is particularly suspicious, even believing the food cooking on the fire is poisoned. Dopey is sent upstairs to check for the "monster", but he panics and sends the group tumbling downstairs. After mistaking Dopey for the creature and attacking him, the dwarfs finally discover Snow White sleeping in their beds. Grumpy, unimpressed, suggests kicking her out, but even he admits that the Queen is a danger.

Snow White is allowed to stay on the condition that she cooks and cleans, but she insists they wash before dinner. Grumpy is the most resistant, mocking the others until they forcibly scrub him down. Later, he begrudgingly plays the organ during "The Silly Song" and listens to Snow White sing, pretending not to care. That night, she prays for him to like her, but he remains grumpy, struggling to sleep among the snoring dwarfs.

When the Queen poisons Snow White, the dwarfs chase the Witch up a mountain, where lightning strikes and sends her tumbling to her doom. Heartbroken, they build a glass coffin for Snow White, unable to bury her. Grumpy, the most devastated, silently places flowers in Snow White's arms. When the Prince's kiss awakens her, Grumpy is overjoyed to know that Snow White is alive, he and the other dwarfs cheer and prepare to say goodbye, while Snow White kisses each of them on the forehead and rides away along with the Prince.
