The general is present when Alistair Krei demonstrates the teleportation project at a remote island, doing so first by throwing the general's hat through one of the teleportation portals, before it then exits the other. He watches on as the test pilot, Abigail Callaghan, steps forth and enters her pod which will be sent into the portal. When one of Krei's scientists notices a potential issue with the containment of the portal, the general enquires if there are any issues, but his query is brushed aside by Krei, who orders the experiment to continue. However, when the portal explodes, leaving Abigail lost and presumed dead, the general orders the island to be sealed off, blaming Krei for nearly killing everyone. He also helps to hold back Professor Callaghan when the latter angrily confronts Krei after the death of his daughter.

Origin

Sergeant Gerson is a minor character in Disney's 2014 animated film, "Big Hero 6". He works in the Police Department of San Fransokyo and is on duty when Hiro and Baymax come to report the former's Microbots being stolen. However, Gerson struggles to believe their story of having been attacked by "a man in a kabuki mask" with "an army of miniature flying robots" controlled "telepathically". He then looks on as Baymax uses a roll of tape on his desk to fix various air holes in his outer skin, before pushing the roller towards him. When Gerson suggests to contact Hiro's parents, Hiro and Baymax leave, taking the roll of tape with them. They would later replace his tape roller after defeating Yokai.
