Diablo is a Crew Member in Disney Speedstorm. It is an Epic Crew Member which means it gives Bonus % to all Racer statistics (depending on the Crew Member star level), allows the player to start the race with 1 skill and amplifies the unique skill while used (Fire, Mistress of Evil). Diablo is part of the Sleeping Beauty Collection.

Origin

Diablo is the secondary antagonist in Disney's 1959 animation film "Sleeping Beauty". He is Maleficent's pet raven who serves as a spy and sometimes helps her other minions with their assignments.

Diablo first appears with Maleficent at Aurora's christening, where Maleficent curses Aurora to die on her sixteenth birthday after pricking her finger on a spindle. After the curse, Maleficent and Diablo depart, unaware that the good fairies have altered it so Aurora will only fall asleep. Years later, Maleficent’s goons fail to find Aurora, so Diablo is sent to search. He discovers her identity at a cottage and informs Maleficent. After Aurora falls into an enchanted sleep, Diablo helps capture Prince Phillip, but is turned into stone by Merryweather, preventing him from alerting Maleficent as Phillip escapes to break the curse.

In 2014 live action remake "Maleficent", Diablo appears under the name Diaval and is now able to change his appearance and transform into various creatures, including a human, wolf, horse, and dragon. His forms maintain a birdlike appearance, and in human form he wears black and bears noticeable scars.

Diaval meets Maleficent when she saves him from a trap by transforming him into a man. In gratitude, he pledges to serve her as her “wings” and spy on the kingdom. He informs Maleficent about King Stefan’s newborn daughter and helps her locate the princess. Over time, he bonds with Aurora and helps Maleficent fight against King Stefan’s forces. Eventually, Diaval witnesses Maleficent crowning Aurora as queen.
